8:44.3…good row today. Thank you, Michelle 🙂

7:22.8 Damper 6
Thanks Michelle!

8:44.9 … this is a good row for me! Thanks Michelle!

Damper 7
7:49.3 PR
(PR was 7:53.2)
Good strategy for me seems to be to start just a little fast, taper off if legs start to burn, then ramp up for the finish.
500 pace (averaged every 400 m) was:
1:54/1:58/2:01/1:57/1:57

Head to head with the Hubby………I had him until the 1000m mark……….

Final result
Keith – 7:57
Ali – 8:05

I TOTALLY let him win ;o)

Forgot to mention it was a PB for me by 21 seconds….funny what a little married competition will do for ya :o)

Ohhhhhh! Well excuuuuse me! The old man just got home and read my post. APPARENTLY it was 7:53, not 7:57. I stand corrected (but I still let him win). 🙂

8:07 – Felt OK for my first crack at a 2000m row.
Thanks Kris for the Oly practice & rowing tips… and to Michelle for your push at the end!!

7:00.7.

Damper at 5.75. PR by 2.8 seconds. I left it all out there. I think if I’m a little better with my pacing in the first 800m, and pull a little lower into my chest rather than my neck, I can break 7:00 next time.

Thank you Kris for the pulling advice at the 1500m mark and helping me get quicker coming home!!!

9:32.6. This was a PB for me by 29 seconds. Still need lots of work, but nice to see the improvement!
Thanks Kris and Michelle!

8:17 PR by 2 seconds – for my next 2000m (which will hopefully be in a year;) I should go moderate in the beginning and then just go with how I am feeling during the row – I held back in the middle trying to save more in the end – oops – didn’t quite happen. Kris, thanks for the super coaching tonight and the help with the power cleans.
Nice times above..Ali – way to go and Sarah a PB of 29 seconds is fantastic! OH and Krista good to see you came – nice job!!

Can’t stop blabbing – Rhyno – whoohoo!

Sorry, it’s me again.. Lynette- just wondering how you’re doing? Thinking of you today with the row. Hope you’re on the mend and will be coming back soon.

Judy – 9:11.7 ugh- note to self..next time have a goal!!
Thanks Kris for all your help with my power cleans.
Neil – double ugh – 8:19 really blew it, my display didn’t showed the elapsed time and I fixated instead on the 500m split times and somehow in the haze of battle thought that 2:09 500m splits would equate to an 8:09 time while I was actually on a 8:36 pace… smart like tractor…. good news at that pace I can acutally breath and had a pretty strong finish but still 11 secs off last 2k…

Just in case people didn’t know, we have done two separate 2000m rows since the one in April 2009. Jan 26, 2010 and November 9, 2009.

Hey Katie, I was thinking about you guys too yesterday and wishing I could row (I know how strange that must sound to many). I’m on the mend but it’s going much slower than I would like. I miss CrossFit and everyone there like crazy! Hope to be back soon.

And WOOHOO Rhyno! Killer row!
