Join us and learn the basic CrossFit movements and fundamentals.
No prior fitness experience or conditioning necessary.
We offer specialized introductory instruction to ensure everyone who trains at CFC is safe and adequately prepared for the WODs. CrossFit is built on a comprehensive understanding of functional movement. Learning the proper mechanics of these natural movements allows one to safely and effectively progress their fitness.
These classes will teach the proper way to do bodyweight movements like the squat, push-up, sit-up and pull-up. You’ll also learn how to safely and effectively add weight to movements with a barbell, dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, and the like. You will be properly introduced to technical lifts like the shoulder press and push press, back squat, and front squat, and Olympic lifts, including the clean-and-jerk. The overall design is purposeful and progressive in nature allowing us to continually built the mechanics of these movements.
