Did all 70 snatches, I think I ended up at ~90 cals on the rower, it was apparent pretty quickly that I wasn’t going to be able to keep the rower pace up, quickly became 35-40 sec of rowing per round while failing to recover.
I was apparently much fitter last time I did this!
Thanks Derek!

Scaled to 95# snatched but my goal was to maintain 15 cals.
Snatches: 7,7,7,7,6,5,5,5,5,5
Row: all 15 cals and 18 on the last.

I can tell my brain went to a dark place because we finished and I thought there was easily 2 or 3 rounds left. Great…another CrossFit hangover day. I’ll feel this one later today.

Great job everyone.

That was as hard as I was expecting, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
Snatches at 115# and managed to do all 70. Snatch rounds were between 25 and 35 seconds.
Did 83 total calories in the assault bike. Realized by about round 4 or 5 that I was going to sacrifice calories on the bike, in order to finish all of the snatch. The last. 5 rounds on the bike was 0:45 seconds of easy peddling just to burn some calories while trying to keep the heart rate in check.
Great job 9:30am.
Thanks other Derek!

6am attacked the workout this morning. 🔥 What a physical and mental challenge!
Snatch at 75#
Completed all 70 Snatch and 120 cals. Stayed pretty consistent .
Power snatch reps took about 20-30 seconds each round and rowing took 40-45 seconds each round
Thanks Derek!

Last time: 46/130 – skipped a few snatch rounds

Today:
Snatch: 7×115# for all rounds
Row: 15×5, 12×2, dry heaving x 1, 12×1, 15×1
So: 70/126

Let’s go with “fitter” in 3 years. Thought I had all the rounds until I didn’t. No crying this time so that’s a win.
Thanks Josh!

I think I must have won to, as I also did not cry…………….haha.
Scaled EVERYTHING and this seemed to work out pretty good…………weird how that works. I decided I was not going to RX the weight because I have not been even remotely impressed by my Oly lifting as of late, so went with 115# on the snatch and imagine that, things went well. Managed all 70 and even got a little quicker as the rounds went on, but basically kept these to 30s. Started with a 15 cal (ski), but dropped to the 12 cal standard to keep this around 35s. Managed 20 cals in the last round.
AWESOME push by everyone in the 9:30am class!!!!!!
Great warm-up Coach Derek M. Thanks for the push by Coach OG and Coach Derek P., who joined me in the back court, packed class!!!!!!!!!

Well I got through it and made it to the other side!
Rx weight on snatches and stayed with 7’s
Assault bike x 8 calories per round

Nice work everyone!
Thanks Josh

This was hard even with scaled big time!
All 70 snatches 45# and 7 calories per round for about 45-50 seconds aka when Duncan stopped!! (9 cal in last round). Rowing was really weak today compared to the last rowing we had in a WOD. Oh well. Great work, 6am crew!!

Cheese and crackers that went real wrong real fast. 😬
Rounds were(I think):

Snatches: 7@70#/2@70, 3@65/5/5/5/0/5/7/7/7

Row: 10/8/8/8/8/0/whatever I could get in 30 seconds.

I can list a lot of factors as to why this went wrong not the least of which was that my warm up consisted of talking to Lauren, tying my shoes and chugging my pre workout.
Don’t underestimate the value of a proper warm up boys and girls!!

Thanks Josh! I appreciate the post WOD chat.

Wow! That got tough fast!

Snatch were at 65#, did sets of 7 as long as I could, last 4 sets were 6, 4.5, 5, 5… what little technique that I have went out the window towards the last few rounds. Rowing was 101 total Cals.

Power snatch reps took about 35 seconds each round (45-50 seconds last few rounds) and rowing took 35-45 seconds each round.

Thanks Josh!

R1-10 – 7 snatches @ 125#
R11-20 – 7 snatches @ 115#

Rowed 15 cals every round.

Thanks josh!

When am I going to learn that I am not enough? Not fit enough, not strong enough to do these workouts. Scaled the snatches to what I thought would be a manageable 95#. And since I can’t row like a real boy, I started off am-bitch-ous (someone else’s words, not mine) for the first round at 12 cals. That didn’t last long as I had to reduce to 10 cals after that. Couldn’t even finish half the workout before my back hurt so bad I couldn’t get a deep breath and I was hyperventilating like a damned hummingbird.

Good job to all the fit folk who made it through, I’d like to say I’ll join you next time but I don’t see it happening.
