30 Alternating Single Arm Dumbbell Push Jerk – 45#/30#/hand
40 Double Unders
Compare to January 21, 2015
Coach’s notes: Post rounds and reps complete to comments.
7 rounds
Bar hang with hand release
Strict alt shoulder press
Thanks Colin!
5 rnds + 10 SR. + 14 PJ using 20# DB
4 reps more than last time but unlike last time did spend time trying doubles for up to 90secs per rnd………managed at least 25 and even managed to string 3 together!
Subbed scapular retractions (10/rnd) for hip touches
Thanks Michelle
6 rounds + HT + PJ + 16 DUs @ 22.5#. 30 more reps than last time.
Was rushing the jerks and not fully extending before bringing the DB down.
Thanks for the corrections Michelle.
5 rounds @ 25#. I felt sluggish this morning, thanks for putting up with my complaining OG!
As Many Rounds As Possible (AMRAP) in 25 minutes of:
20 Alternating Hip Touches – Completed 6 rounds (last 2 unbroken)
30 Alternating Single Arm Dumbbell Push Jerk – 45#/30#/hand – Completed 6 rounds (10 – rest, 10 – rest, 10 – rest to complete each round of 30) – Used 30lbs in each hand.
40 Double Unders – Completed 5 round + 10 D.U. on round 6 before buzzer.
Killer Workout!
6 rounds + 20HT + 12PJ’s.
Thanks Colin
Got me a participaction ribbon that popped the old ego when pinned on.
Spent most of the time falling off the bar. 0 touches, a few hand flips and several seconds hanging from the bar while trying to convince my brain to let go.
Rotated through 4 rounds with PJ and DU.
14 dumbbell push jerks into the round of eight. The weirdest thing was the DU’s got easier as it went on.
20# for DB jerks
4 rnds +20 AHT + 9 ADBJ
Started slowly, picked up steam when Goody Two Shoes by Adam Ant started playing, then lost my groove when the song got shut down in the middle, Jason.
19 D/U short of 6 complete rounds
Scaled to 40# for DB push jerks
D/U was the limiting factor in this one
30# for the DB Jerks
6 rounds + 20HT + 13PJ’s
DU’s and HT’s felt really good. Even at a scaled weight, the PJ’s were still the slowest part for me tonight. Overhead dumbbell movements are definitely not my strength – but I guess that’s why we come out.
JeffL you make me laugh!
Thanks Jay.
20 min on the Concept 2 for a little Zone 2 work then…
As RX’d…45lbs Dumbbells felt a little heavy today. Double unders were a nightmare after shoulder fatigue set in.
I think this was the first time the pull-up bar didn’t give me a hard time…finished the last 3 rounds of hip touches unbroken.
Improved from the last time this workout came up.
4 rounds + 20HT + 10 PJ
Then went and “ran” a mile with Matt to try and help my run technique…it was more like a one mile trudge.
Thanks Jay and TNash
Scaled 6 hip touches per round/15# db/single, double practice. Round 6 – ht + pj.
Thanks Jay and Tanya!
Don’t forget about the baseball get together that Tania is working so hard on. It will be a fun time.
7 rounds +20 +10 as Rx’d, Db push jerks were the limiting factor.
Thanks Jason and Tania.
5 rounds + 20 hip touches and then my hands tore
Thanks Jay and Tania
First time doing the hip touches so scaled to 10/round.
4 rounds+10+20.
Thanks Jason and Tania.
