At Home WOD

Complete each set for As Many Reps As Possible (AMRAP) in 8 minutes of:

  1. 10 Double Milk Jug Ground to Overhead Swing

5 Burpees

2. 10 Double Milk Jug Overhead Alternating Lunges (5/leg)

5 Burpees

REST 2:00

3. 10 Single Arm Milk Jug Squats (5/arm)

5 Burpees

WOD

Complete each set for As Many Reps As Possible (AMRAP) in 8 minutes of:

  1. 10 Single Arm Dumbbell Ground to Overhead (5/side) – 50#/35#

5 Burpees

REST 2:00

  1. 10 Single Arm Dumbbell Overhead Alternating Lunges (5/leg)

5 Toes to Bar

REST 2:00

2. 10 Single Arm Dumbbell Squats (5/arm)

5 Burpees

1. 5 rounds plus 10 swings with 10# dumbbells
2. 4 rounds plus 10 lunges plus 3 burpees. 10# dumbbells for first 2 rounds then down to 5#. This was by far the worst one for me.
3. 5 rounds even. 10# dumbbell.

2: 8 rounds + 10 lunges + 1 burpee
3: 6 rounds + 4 squats

A little too much enthusiasm for burpees from the gun. I paid for it from round 2 onwards:
1) 12 + 6
2) 9 + 7
3) 9 + 6
I used 20# DB


So Derek found this WOD online the other day called Thor, and we had been wanting to “get together” for a while, so decided to do it in my alley in the sun today from a social distance. Lauren went for a run while Derek and I did it, and Elizabeth and Jen zoomed in. So nice to see people in person! We sat in the alley and drank sparkly water after. Fun WOD that went better than I thought. Maybe just the motivation of having friends there. Oh, also, apologies in advance, but I think Brett based the at home WOD loosely on this one today. Its a good-er!

10 single arm devil’s press (50#/35#)
12 dumbbell facing burpees

2 min rest

10 single arm overhead lunges (50#/35#)
12 dumbbell facing burpees

2 mins rest

8 min AMRAP
10 single arm devil’s lunges (1 devils press + 2 lunges) (50#/35#)
12 dumbbell facing burpees

First round got 3 round plus 10 reps. Second round 4 rounds even. Third round 2 rounds even. Those devils lunges are a nasty movement. Here’s to sunshine!
