A. Back Squat – 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1
B. Power Snatch – 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1
Coach’s notes: Post load for all sets to comments.
Reminder this Saturday and Sunday we host the L1 Cert so adult CrossFit classes will be at 7am both days (no other classes). Kids and Teens will be at regular times outdoors at Arbour Lake.
A. 265/275/280/285/290/295/300 (that’s my personal best)
B. 75/95/105/115/125 – F/125 – F/120 – F (115 is my personal best too)
dropped one of the snatches on my water bottle – reminder not to leave the water bottle so close next time 🙂
Thanks Kris and everybody at the 9:30 class!
Back Squat – worked up to 210# cut it there in order to have some more time for the power snatch. Def. have more as it’s 10# off my PB.
Power Snatch – worked up to 102# which ties my PB. Makes a huge difference using the smaller diameter bars. Ran out of time or would have tried 107#.
Next time for sure!
Nice work to everyone in the 9:30 class!
A. 125/130/135/145/150/155/157.5 new PR 🙂
B. 36/41.5/45/50…ran out of time. Definitely, could’ve gone higher – felt pretty good. Thanks, Kris.
Nice Job on the PBs Don!!!!!
Did yesterday’s WOD along side Krista. 23:08. Tried to get it under 23 but those darn toes to bar….. I want to be ALI! Good job everyone is 9:30 class and thanks Krista for not showing us the contents of your stomach.
I second Stacey’s comments Krista. MUCH appreciated!
nice work Don and Ali!
hee hee girls!!! I seriously felt ill for HOURS after!! oh dear…
great job this morning everyone! Ali – wow… I want to be you too!! thanks Stacey for keeping me going!! (posted yesterday too 26:38)
Worked up to 175 on the backsquat – felt surprisingly strong here so could go higher I think but was short on time.
For snatch only got to 62 due to no time – this felt good too but need to continue working on form for this lift.
Nice work in the 9:30 class – it was a treat to have a morning class! Ali- wow!! Krista, I’m glad you contained the contents of your stomach too;)
A) 275×2/315/345/355/357.5
B) 135/155/165(f)/165/175/185(f)/185(f)/185(f) need to work on re-bending at the hips and dropping under the weight
thanks DJ
A) 95/105/115/120/125/130/135 Felt I could increase more but ran out of time. First time and didn’t know what I could do.
B) 33/45/55
A) 185/205/215/235/240(f)/240/245(PR)/250(f)
B) 95/105/115/125/130/135(f)
Thanks DJ for freshening up before the hump/spotting on the back squat
A) 95, 125, 145, 150, 155, 157.5(f) then DJ told me to stop there since I literally crumpled under the bar, need to work on this weakness.
B) 42, 52, 62, 72, 77, 82 (f)- was at my forehead but still scared to get under the bar, also need to work on this.
Did WOD from August 19 at home, and posted there.
Don’t have a rack yet, so decided to do “the Bear” instead. Haven’t done it in quite some time, and I’ve been wanting to do it for a while now.
45/55/65/70/75
Wrists were really hurting after the last set, so decided to call it a day; didn’t want to cause any damage. Plus, I would have had to go up by 10# since i don’t have any 1.25# plates yet; I don’t know that I could have done 80#. Either way, it is a 10# PR for me.
Was planning on doing some light power snatch practice after, but again, the wrists…
oops, meant to say “would have had to go up 5#…”
Apparently “the Bear” did not just mess with my wrists… looks like the brain got damaged too!
