3 rounds for time:

400 m Farmer’s Walk

25 Man Makers

Coach’s notes:  Guys use 35 lb DB’s per hand for farmer’s walk and man makers, gals 20 lb.  For man makers (because there are some variations) start standing with DB’s in each hand.  Drop to a push up position, then do a single arm DB row one arm at a time, followed by a push up.  Bring your feet in towards your hands, squat clean the DB’s, then stand and press overhead.  This is one man maker.  Post time to complete to comments.

Brutal WOD…it was one that was pleased to watch…but not participate in 🙂 good job to everyone in the 9:30am class…looked nasty!


What a WOD!!! And to think I almost did not come today lol
Used 25lbs and time was 39:02 .
I found going deep into the squat and using momentum worked for me.


Scaled to 15lb each hand. Push-ups on knees. 23:00.


28:07 as rx’d. Managed to not drop the weights other then to chalk my hands between each set. Brett I would avoid CFC for a day or two as you may get a DB thrown at your head!!!! Thanks DJ.

Judy – Rd. 1 – 5 lb DB until 15 manmakers then moved up to 7.5lbs to get a better grip. PU’s from knees – 38:22. Farmer’s walk not a problem..need to use a heavier DB next time.

37:17 as Rx’d. Not the most fun I have had, but am sure it was good for me somehow.


Did the first walk with 35# + 11 man makers and at that point it was pretty clear to me and DJ that I was going to spend the night trying to finish it, therefore dropped the weight to 20 #/hand and finished it in 44 min.
Feeling pshycological destroyed decided to do an extra 4 rds of 15 GHD situps followed by 400 meter run. Time :13:35min


Something definitely wrong with my time! And the weight felt much too light!! Oh well I will have to try this one again.


Gina there is nothing wrong with your time..you are a very speedy walker and you blew through those man makers! Great work!


Round 1 walk and first 7 MM’s used 25 lbs.

Left arm was still upset over last night’s T2B and was not interested in any part of this fiasco.


Ok, I’d be fired if I worked on a farm for taking too many breaks! 39:59 as rx’d- did have a few “snakey” push ups. That was incredibly hard. Thanks DJ! Nice work in the 7pm class!


43:59 @ 15 lbs. The “people maker” – thanks for the ‘politically correct’ efforts, DJ…. just about un made me. I can walk the farm but, the man maker destroyed my soul.


Oh boy! 48: something as rx’d. Unfortunately can’t remember how many seconds.
Might have been able to push a bit harder during the man makers, but I really didn’t want to have any missed reps, so rested more than I probably needed! I know I pushed the walks as I continued until the DB’s pretty much fell out of my hands.
This was really hard, but fun in a sick kind of way!

Just posting now since it took Rebecca & I almost a day to get our limbs active again; those of you at Wednesday’s 5:00 class saw the carnage!

39:59 – there were quite a few partial squats due to my current knee situation – I am not sure if this helped or not due to the immensely negative effect on the thruster.

I just had it pointed out to me that we weren’t supposed to do the lunges after the thruster part of the Man Maker……….F!CK!!!

This means I just did 150 lunges with weight over my head when I didn’t have to. Probably could have shaved 45 mintues off the workout 🙂

I need to learn to read all of the workout and not just flip straight to the video.


Load..I can’t stop laughing…sorry but that WOD was extremely tough….and you did lunges too!! OMG too funny!
