This was kind of frustrating, didn’t have enough time to settle in and figure out where to be at on each movement before it was change time.
Snatch: Up to 175, spent a lot of time franticly switching weights wasn’t happy with the movement quality
Clean: Up to 225, did a bunch at 225 (of the 3 this was best, but I wish I had a few more rounds at 225)
DL: Up to 325, ran out of nearby weights.
Felt like I kind of missed the boat on the expected stimulus for the WOD, if we do something similar again I think I will pick 1 or 2 weights at like 70-80% for each movement and just drill a bunch of good reps.
Thanks Derek!

A: snatched up to 110#
B. Cleaned up to 145#
C. Deadlift up to 190#, failed 195#

This was super fun! Thanks Josh!

A. Up to 135 and did 3 sets there.
B. Up to 235 for two sets.
C. Up to 365
Big win for me today was A. I can power snatch 135#, but that is usually the weight that I am not comfortable dropping underneath and catching low. Managed to do 3 sets at that load this morning where I was dropping and catching it at or near the bottom.
Thanks Josh!

Snatch – Did not feel like I had a fluid movement pattern or a solid catch in the squat, felt very stiff and awkward. The last three reps are when I settled in and started to feel better. Tried to focus on technique and squat mechanics.
55, 65, 75, 75, 75, 75, 85, 85

Clean – These felt a lot better than the snatches but I was still focused on technique. Worked especially on not ripping the weight off the ground and getting the power once I got past the knees.
85, 95, 105, 115, 125, 125, 130, 130 (failed this one because I fell backwards in the squat with too much power), 130

Deadlift – These felt strong, especially after all the other stuff we did. My 1RM (tested a year ago) is 225#, and I felt an RPE of ~7 in my last few reps today so I know I have more in the tank.
130, 155, 175, 185, 195, 205, 210, 210, 215

Snatch: 130 PR just missed 135 goal
Clean: 150 PR (a technical PR)
Deadlift: 255 WAY below 305 PR but felt great

I really enjoyed the pace of this WOD.
My snatch was “on” today.
Did the best cleans I’ve ever done. I seem to perform better when I am under pressure. I’m working hard to get outa my head. This was a really rewarding experience today.

If I did a lift but had crap technique I would do it over. Have a lot of work to do on my deadlifts.

Thank you Josh for catching my errors and coaching me forward.

Honestly, wasn’t sure how this would go today, given the pace, complexity and logistics, but I was really happy with what I saw. Some great lifting, really good decisions, and IMO much learned in this WOD. Well done Crew!!!!!
1. Snatch – worked up to 155# and just stayed there for the last 3-4 sets.
2. Clean – worked up to 205#, then went back down to 185#. My left knee has become pretty uncomfortable with the dynamic pull of a squat catch with anything over 200# recently, so just tried to move well here.
3. Worked up to 365#, which is actually a decent lift for me given the lack of strength work throughout the pandemic.

Snatches:
95/95/95/95/95/95/105/105/105
Wasn’t moving super well so stayed put here mostly.

Cleans:
174/174/184/194/204/214/224/234/234f
After the second lift these started to feel pretty decent. Failed my last lift.

Deadlifts:
354/374/394/404/414/419(lopsided)/424/434f/429. Then 434
This got a little busy but felt good overall. Got a bit confused with my numbers in the middle but this is best I can figure. I actually lifted 5# lopsided at one point and didn’t realize. Failed the 434 at the end, so after the EMOM ended, waited 3-4min and then hit it, was rattled I missed it. 10# short of my sumo PR, but pretty sure it’s definitely a conventional PR by a decent amount. (I usually bail to sumo when it gets heavy).

Thanks Syd! Nice lifting 6pm.

Squat Snatch – 185 for 3 sets. I’m guessing 185 is no longer a mental hurdle for me. I can hit it pretty consistently.

Squat Clean – 235 for 2 sets. Cleans are feeling great with all the pause work we did last week.

Deadlift – 365 for 3 sets. My hips were fe-fi-fo-fucked and my back started to round so I stayed at 365.

Thanks Syd. great lifting going on at 6pm!
