Post loads for all sets to comments.
A: Worked up to 175 before I started to re-dip
B: worked up to 205, tried 215 but missed the second jerk
A. Up to 165 x 3 and 175 x 2
B. Up to 185
So far so good. No shakes. I’m sore in a good way. Being careful but not timid. Tightening up. Muscle memory is still there. My body really has changed significantly in a couple of short years. Except for my running:( I may never experience progress there. Lots of other stuff to work on.
Up to 125lbs for push press
My shoulders/nervous system felt pretty good. I’m confident the strength will come back. The human body is an amazing machine.
Finished at 145lbs for split jerk
Just 20lbs under what I did in January. Not bad considering my experience and the extended time away from the bar. It’s amazing what you keep after laying a good foundation.
A up to 155
B up to 155
Still wobbly in the catch on the split jerk. Dowel work has definitely helped with speed as the weight was not an issue.
Dowel work definitely paying off in the split jerk. Foot work was the best it’s ever been and the shoulder was strong in the catch.
Good to hear Bryan and Don. I am seeing the same result from our loyal dowel followers.
Last one at 85# was more like a thruster….
5# off my 3RM
15# off my 2RM but my goal tonight was 100#.
Definitely feeling the benefits of all the dowel work. I feel the improvement in every part of the movement.
Up to 145 x 3 with the push press and up to 175 x 2 for the split jerk.
Feels great to be back lifting at the box!
Worked up to 65# for both push press and split jerk. Watched others in awe!
