BTN Split Jerk –  1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1

Coach’s notes:  Post load for all sets to comments.  Load to beat is DJ’s 325 lbs from the Games.  I’m offering the Ferrari again for any takers!

Just wanted to say congratulations to Team CFC and Team OPT as well as everyone from here who competed at the Games!!! Those wods looked insane and you guys were awesome!!

You would think that we were mostly resting but this was a tough one. Thanks for the class DJ.


I just wanted to thank all of the CFC members for their tremendous support up to, during and now after the games. Even though the weekend didn’t quite end the way we wanted, for myself it was certainly a fantastic experience that has and will serve to make me better in so many ways.

65/75/95/105/115/120/125/130/135/140/145/150/155(f) 15lb PR, used a Snatch Grip. Did a 500m row after for “fun” 1:39.8 (PR), finally hit another goal which was a sub 1:40. Thanks Chantal, Evan and Erin. Great job today Chad that was a solid lift. Good to see you again Yasmin.

Feel stronger from BTN


Worked up to 185#, but I found less support from my shoulder off the back. Split jerk PR is 200#.


Took me a while to work up to 85# If I had more time I might have been able to get more. Thanks all! Great job Sarah and Lori!


Judy – practiced split jerk and push press from BTN, worked on not creaming her head and crushing vertabrae.
Neil – Still stuck at #155, same as front jerk, failed at #165 twice, was hoping BTN would give a better result… apparently not…. used wide grip, not quite snatch grip width and found that I couldn’t control the weight down to my back and therefore had to drop the weight…

thanks for the help with the weights off the floor Colin and nice solid looking lifts.

new to this lift so was focused on form. tested out weight up to #92lb – ran out of time at 92# (didn’t count how many lifts…maybe 12 or so). felt like a 7/10 for max lift. Was pressing it up, need to get arms locked faster.
