Sets were 135/225/315/315/335/345 (f)
335 was a struggle, but successful. Only got down into the 3rd rep of 345. Need to focus on driving my knees out actively. Fun class at 9am.

Tried something different and did volume today.
All sets at 150#. Felt good, little bit shaky on the last lift in each set.

These were feeling pretty good today. 158 is about 84% of my 1RM right now. I was losing form on the last few squats though.
Great job everybody at 10am!


A) day 12 “Zimmerman”
25min AMRAP
11 C2B pull-ups
2 Deadlift 205#
10 HSPU
17rds+ 11 c2b was feeling pretty good but started to tear my hands in round 12 which slowed me down.
B) assault bike sprints
30sec on rest 1 min x 6 79cal
C) push jerk worked up to a single at 165# missed 175# may have been the 170 HSPU…
D) GHD sit-ups 15×5
E) strict Chest to ring pull-ups trying to maintain false grip 4×5
Lessons learned today: take care of your hands and don’t do a long AMRAP directly under the heater!

Went in with a plan to do 150# all the way through (83% of a stale 1RM). Veered from the plan.

Tried 170 but packed it in after one ugly rep.


Routine IS the enemy…

Feeling a little tender from barbell on Sunday. Did 5 sets of 6 pause squats at 240# (65%). Quality is improving.

Good times sharing a bar with Amir again. Some strong stuff going on at 6pm.

Attempted 200 cus Julie yelled at me , failed but Julie said I was really close . Next time πŸ™‚

ugh…this was terrible. it’s been a long time since i’ve squatted heavy.

worked up to 365 and hit 365 for 3 sets. after that my CNS just shut me down.

I also did not warm up properly. 6 reps is a bit novel for me so i warmed up with 4×6 (135/225/275/315) before getting to my working sets and that was just too much on my system.
