Up to 195.
Hit my lifts, but everything just felt tough today, couldn’t seem to find the groove.
Thanks Derek!

Worked up t o165, stayed here for 3-4 sets, but never felt like I was hitting this as I wanted, so went back down. This has been my theme since returning with weightlifting. Movement and bar path is good at light and moderate weights, but as soon as I move from moderate, stuff isn’t making the needed adjustments. More patience needed at this time I guess………………….on the other hand, you guys are lifting GREAT. Tons of technical improvements and the usual PR’s going around the room!!!!!! Very happy about this.

I permitted myself to enjoy playing today. My back injury has been very useful. It makes me very aware of my positioning.
I worked up to 125, just working on cues at different stages and weights. Trying out different speeds, pulls, arm widths etc. I’m power snatching 125, which is a huge improvement for me. I’m definitely on my way to getting a couple of PRs. Getting my knuckles under the bar made a huge difference! Thanks, OG. Thanks, Derek for reminding me to stay slow before the knees.
Today was like therapy.

Was feeling confident today despite landing hard on my but during one lift. Walked if off and worked up to 145# which was a 10# PR for me. Could never get past the 135# mental barrier. My focus was technique, especially at the bottom – if I couldn’t hang in the bottom for a few seconds, it wasn’t a good lift.
Love these big classes. Everyone is moving really well! Thanks OG – great, great warm up today.

That’s a BIG PR Jeremy, not only because it was 10#’s which is huge in and of itself, but also because you overcame the “mental barrier”, and IMO this is perhaps the BIGGER PR. You will be surprised now by how much this improvement transfers across the board………….longer discussion, but snatch PR’s are much more than just snatch PR’s because they involve so many elements of fitness, and these elements MUST to be working together to be effective……….

Worked on trying to snatch somewhere between not quite parallel, almost parallel, could be parallel, parallel, and “you keep telling yourself that’s below parallel.”
