2.  AMRAP Push Press

Coach’s notes:  Post load for each set of bench press to comments.  Use 50% of your heaviest single in bench press as the load for the AMRAP push press.  Post number of reps achieved in a single set.  Rest as needed between sets.

125 x 2, 135 x 2, 142.5 x 2, 150 x 1, 155 x 1, 160 x 1, 165 x 1, 170(f)…. PR by 20#! it just felt light today.

At 6 a.m. Let’s call the WOD: DJ’s Death by Dumb bells
AMRAPS in 25 mins using a weight that challenges you, but that you can finish a round: I used 15lbs

10 DB Power Cleans
5 Left Arm DB snatch

5 right arm periscope lunges

5 Right Arm DB Press
5 man (woman) makers
5 left arm DB Press
3 rounds in 22:06, at about 20 minutes he said that we had had enough, but we all finished the round we were on. It was very challenging. Thanks DJ & Colin.

Push press: 115lbs x 28. My left arm wouldn’t extend for the 29th one. Still way better than the last time we did this, although my bench only went up 20lbs.

Thank you Brett for the help with the push press form.


BP same as the HULK except went to 180 and failed at 185 (got to far forward apparently) PR by 20#
PP @ 90# = 26 came out of the gate too fast and my rhythm sucked which jolted my wrists and I quit early because they were sore… boo hoo….. got 40 last time at 80# so should have been able to get over 30 I think…
