WOD:

A. OHS – 5, 5, 5, 5, 5

B.  Snatch Balance – 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1

TT WOD – Gymnastics:

A1.  Handstand Walk – As Far As Possible X 5 sets, rest 90-120s

Notes:  Scales and progressions = partner spotted freestanding holds and walks, if position is maintained, walks into wall, walks with feet on box, progress feet and hips higher.  If 50 feet is in your wheelhouse add obstacle challenges.

A2.  Kipping Bar Muscle-ups/Kipping Chest to Bar Pull-ups/Kipping Chin over Bar Pull-ups –10-12 reps X 5 sets, rest 90-120s

Notes:  If you do not yet have strict chin over bar pull-ups continue to work on strict (banded) pull-ups.  If you have strict X 3 reps, progress to kipping.

B1.  Seated Reverse Dumbbell Fly – 10-12 reps @ 3011 X 3 sets, rest 60-90s

B2.  Paused Kettlebell Swings – 10-12 reps X 3 sets, rest 60-90s

Notes:  Pause 3s at the top each rep.

If tonight is your last day with TT Gymnastics, then take the class to challenge and play with your new found skills.

120 OHS
135 snatch balance

thank you todd! good lifting 9am 🙂

– 155# OHS x 5
– 125# SB x 2 (didn’t do singles)

A: 92.5#. 2.5# off my PR. These felt really solid.
B: 75#. Felt like I could have done more but Todd said I was catching and riding the bar down.
Is it unusual that my snatch balance is less than my OHS? 🤔

Thanks Todd

OHS: 150# for 5.
Guess 150 is no longer my 1RM.
SB: Ran out of time, did a bunch of lighter doubles at 100
Thanks Todd
Sandy, my Snatch Balance is always much less than my OHS too.

A) 135/185/205/225/245(3)
B) 135/155/175/185/205/215/225f
Thanks Brett!

72.5# OHS, was hoping for a bit more but it just wasn’t happening
55# snatch balance, I have a lot to work on with this one and was happy where I landed. Great work 9:00am!!

Thanks for all the coaching Todd!!

The bad – 9:00am WOD:
Two of my weakest movements.
Only got to 125# for both.
OHS is always a humbling day.
The good – TT Gymnastics:
Managed to get a bunch of things that I usually struggle with.
– 8 strict muscle-Ups. Starting to get these more consistently.
– 8 regular grip ring muscle ups. Had only ever gotten a couple of these in the past.
– 7 or 8 bar muscle ups without doing the chicken wing. These actually may have been a first.
– handstand walks were ok. Still a lot better than they were a month ago.
Definitely made progress from doing the Gymnastics TT. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks Todd and OG!

A) 135
B) 130

Thanks OG and Derek!
