Up to 405, took it relatively easy, it’s been a minute since I did heavy DL and I feel like yesterday’s WOD ran me over with a truck.

Managed to move 375 pretty quickly so at Shannon and Brett’s suggestion added 15# and tried 390 for what would have been a 5# PR. Bar didn’t move an inch.
Used straps for my last two successful lifts as grip started to go at 345#.

Great job 9:30!

Had some knee issues, bla, bla, bla, excuses, etc., so had to go with conventional today.
275/295/315/325/335/345/345/315, NOT surprisingly felt heavy today………….
I will say however, that everyone else seemed to be moving very nicely, some super heavy sets and lots of great mechanics.
Shout out to Aimed and Venessa (good work teaming up), Ben, OG, Ryan (for his light set), Duncan (easiest “heavy” set), Sam (super consistent), Sarah (heavy as heck!), Patti (mechanics), Lisa and Penny (quick off floor), Maddison (heavy and paused!) and Jim (starting to add intensity), Tomoko (staying in the heel!), Sydney (exquisite), Ari (staying light!), Sandy (going for it!), Nick (huge PR!), Darlene (consistency lately).

Goal: Wanted to see what I could handle without a belt.

Worked up to 255lbs.
No surprise it felt heavy. I could have worked for another 30 min. Feeling pretty weak these days.
First weighted deadlift since coming back. Climbing outah da hole… again.

Got the participation medal. Trashed it and went home happy to have the opportunity to lift. Hopefully I’ll achieve something significant for myself in the coming weeks. Re-writing my hopes and dreams after a “spirit-crushing” year.

Some amazing lifts today.
