Alternate Every Minute on the Minute (EMOM) for 20 minutes:

40 Double Unders
15 Kettlebell (KB) Swings – 2.0/1.5 pood

I know workouts usually look easier on the board than in practice…but this one…yeeesh

Skipping – can’t do double-unders so 40 singles with double-under practice (and ‘practice’ the last 3 rounds was spent doubled over trying to catch my breath)
Kettlebells – 15×2, 15×2, 15×1.5, 15×1.5, 15×1.5, 15×1.5, 10×1.5, 10×1.5, 10×1.5, 15×1.5

Started with 30 DUs per round but they ended up taking me too long so switched to 25 at 5 minutes.
Used 1.25pd for 15 swings each round.

DUs rx’d
KBS: 1.25p

First 4 rounds went unbroken then it went to pieces. Round 7 did 5 KBS and couldn’t bring myself to pick it up again. Last 3 barely got them all in on time. Really broke down mentally on this one.

I remember how awful this one was last time… Low back blew up and I’m pretty sure I quit at minute 12.

Scaled today to 10 reps of KBS and did all rounds unbroken. Low back behaved!

DUs are improving when fatigued…. Sets 1,2,4-6 unbroken. Set 2 was a mental lapse and 7-10 were just fatigue…

18:47 need to learn to kip ring dips…
B) 1 front squat EMOM for 10 min 190# (90% of 1 RM)
C) hollow rocks 25×4
This afternoon
D) back squats 2×10 215# rest 90sec
E) plank holds 1 min x 3 rest 1 min


Scaled KB ‘s to 1.5pd.
All but two rounds of DU’s were unbroken tonight. That is exceptional for me.
KB’s unbroken except for one round where I put it down once.

Practiced DU’s for 30 – 40 seconds each of the rounds.
Used 1.25 KB, did all rounds unbroken except for the 9th.

DU’s- skipped for about 30 sec. Some rounds got all 40, others I didn’t….
KBS- 10 reps, weight rxd. Could have done rxd, but “injury” was sore today (that’s what I’ll say anyways…?)

First workout back trying to do double unders and it went about as rough as I thought.

all the 2pd bells were taken so used a 1.5
double unders were scaled to about 30 or if my achilles started to act up.

this one got me all sorts of sweaty and breathing hard…foot felt pretty good for the most part but didn’t want to push things too hard too quick.
