Snatch – 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1

At 6 am we did the masters wod
Rounds in 20 mins of:
4 deadlifts
3 hang cleans
2 front squats
1 shoulder to overhead
I used 62# and did 15 rounds +9 for a total of 159
This one was a good one. Nothing better than front squat practice!

used 52# and did 19 rounds for a total of 190.
Should go heavier next time.

52/62/72(f)/77/82/87/92 x2 fail.

87 felt the best out of all of them and then Ali filmed me failing on 92 which was really helpful. Previous PR was 75.

Great job this morning, everyone seemed to be getting PRs or pretty close.


45/50/55(f)/55/57.5(f)/57.5/60 New PR (last time was 45) woo hoo…thank you, Ali, for that elbow movement tip. Made all the difference in feeling more solid. Ya know, I could learn to like this lift. Great job to Allison & Katie w/ their PR’s.

Did a bazillion snatches from a hover working on form and ‘no sumo stance’ with 35 & 45lbs.

Thank you for helping me Ali, and not laughing too hard when I fell down. 😉

Tied PR at 100.

I kept on trying even when I was failing because they were failures due to form or attitude. When I eventually did get 95 it felt easy because I finally kept the second pull in tight and dropped under it quickly and deeply.

Feeling the form tonight. Mental note: Patience, pulling too soon leads to forward leaning failure.

Worked my way from an 11 lb bar, to 16 lbs and successfully snatched 22 lbs twice! Thanks Olga for the push! Super job Allison and Katie; you were so fun to watch! Thanks Ali for the great coaching!


Thanks Brett! Today was my best lift – less sumu wrestler and more snappy! Did best at 42 pounds; 47 went south.
