Some great lifting by the 6 a.m. gang this morning! Overhead squats are one of the trickier ones with my shoulder so I kept it very light and did sets of 5 followed by 25 sit-ups and 50 double unders x5.
OHS were 10/15/20/22/25
Great segments on the Breakfast Show yesterday! It was cool to see our peeps from the comfort of our living room after work yesterday. Especially you OG, you rocked it!
Started with 11lbs adding 5 each time and 5 reps each time, until my last lift @ 51lbs where I bailed on the 4th
Super stoked with this, 18lbs then last lifting on Dec 18th and much closer to my old 1RM (63) from back in Aug 13!
X over symmetry trainer is definitely paying off!
Think next time I can graduate to the 22lb bar 🙂

A) back squat 2×5 225# rest 2 min then did a set of 10 reps at 135# afterwards which felt really light.

Worked up to 225PR (+20lbs). Tried 245 three times but couldn’t keep things stable
Then did a Front Squat 1RM –> 345lbs (+20lbs). Failed 350.

Partnered with Ryan S tonight…dude is strong! Worked up to 255lbs and failed 266lbs twice. I know I can hit it…next time I won’t tell myself a story when I get the weight overhead. I can’t rember what my previous PR was…so I guess that means I should start writing this stuff down. I think it was 225lb back when I was partners with Erin E…so this is a 30lb PR!!

Jerking it overhead was the failing point for these! Once it was up there, squatting felt pretty good!
