Jump over Box

Pull-ups

Coach’s notes:  Guys use 24″ and gals 18″ for jumps.  These are just like they sound, with a two foot take off jump over the prescribed box.  Land, turn around and jump back over.  Each time over counts as one.  Pull-ups are chin through vertical plane over bar.  Post time to complete to comments.

Used 18″ Box because of left ankle injury acting up (again). Good job everyone at the 9AM class and thanks Michelle.

Time…..way too long. I think around 9 mins.
Did 18in box, very intimidating to get over the box.
Pull ups with purple…trying to get shoulder back to somewhat normal.

Notes: did 26 PUs in 1st round b/c I attempted butterfly PUs but Michelle mentioned I was not breaking the vertical plane…afterwards I switched to traditional kip and was fine with accuracy…

This WOD gave me the same lung burn and forearm pump as Fran…was tough…also was very dizzy after first set of 21 jumps…


oh and 2:30 or less is very possible for this WOD…butterfly with good accuracy…and no pauses on the jumps will shave many seconds off time…

Rick 5:53 using 18″ box
Adelle 6:15 with 14″ box and blue band for pull ups
It was a bit hard to not get dizzy with the jumps back and forth.
After the workout I mananged to jump on top of the 24″ box for the first time with both feet, thanks for the encouragement Michelle.
Fun Class.


6:33 started as RX then quickly had to use blue band for pull ups. For 18″ box used 18″ of plates instead. Thanks Michelle for the help and a great class.

Redid 2-3 pull ups, and had 3 iffy over box jumps.
Box jumps burnt the 2nd round of pull-ups.

Didn’t have a judge on the bar with me so who knows if all pull ups were legit.
