Felt like I was fighting more than just the WOD itself today. Suspects include but are not limited to: Friday’s pull-ups & ring push-ups, heat, poor nutrition, age, hormonal imbalance, bad sleep habits, gluttony and sloth.


Another Crossfit Testimonial

Yesterday I ran a 17.1K leg of the Banff-Jasper Relay. For the past year my work-outs have been predominately Crossfit workouts with the Occasional 5K run on the week end. The last time I ran near this distance, Nov 2009, my pace was 5:45/KM along the Bow River pathway. Yesterday I ran a 5:16/KM pace at the Columbia Icefields and I didn’t even feel destroyed at the finish line. Thanks again CFC!

As a 40 year old i couldnt do pullups due to shoulder, instead did ring hz lifts
All in all 25:30!!
I think the problem with my time was switching shoes!! Really?

Back squats were not happen today. I had to really drop my weight. Monday’s workout did me in all week. I’m in ahh of those that competed last week-end. I only did one of the work-out and I’ve been toast all week.

Oh, and one more thing: I echo Abby’s Dad’s comment. With next to no running(or run specific training this winter) I ran a recent 10k faster and stronger than the same race two years ago(which I had ‘trained’ for all winter). It only gets better from here! Thanks CFC!

Scaled to 185lbs, asked Brett to swap b/w with me but he wouldn’t…
Runs were 400m, pu’s were 20/10/5/5, squats were 6/6/8/6/6/8, burpee’s were broken…
Rode Jumpingpound Loop this afternoon (1:05), legs were surprisingly fresh!

Squats scaled to 155 and still almost killed me.

I echo Jeff today. I think among many other issues I was suffering a severe estrogen imbalence today. Either that or my skirt was too long, I give it 50/50.

Oops I posted the wrong time. I mixed up my numbers it wasn’t 12:47 it was 14:47. I didnt notice my error until I saw Blaine’s post bc I came in after Blaine.


Hey Angela…HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Seems to be a discrepancy between the number of reps in the WOD and your age of 29…hmmm…when in doubt go with the lower number!!!! Hope you had a fantastic day!!!
