Coach’s notes: Guys use 115 lbs. for the thruster and gals 75 lbs. Pull-ups are strict. All sets must be done without breaking the set up. For example in the first set of 10 thrusters you must complete all 10 in a row without setting the bar down. Then for your pull-ups you must complete all 10 without coming off the bar. The same for 9, 8, and so on. If you are unable to complete a set without breaking it up you must complete that set again. Post time to complete to comments.

As rxd 42:57. Kipped 13 1/2 pull ups. Pull ups was the hardest part by far! I tried to take my time after the thrusters hoping it would make it easier with the pull ups, but once your arms are done, there is nothing else you can do. Changing the grip while on the bar and kipping was the only way. It was fun. I liked it. At least I didnt scale it down which was for today my objective 🙂

only kipped 2 pull ups on rep 6 of set 6 (Brett made me re-do the set due to kip) and rep 5 of set 5…went too fast and not enough rest…the rest were fully strict dead hang pull ups which made this workout challenging to say the least…

Not sure I did this one right with regard to amount of rest (maybe too much???) and so on, but I really wanted to get as many strict chin ups as I could.
First kip was #8 of rnd 8. Kipped 12 chin ups total. I have never been so happy to get to the 75# thruster part of a WOD before!!!

Scaled thrusters to 95 lbs. I think I had a slight shoulder kip going for a few reps, but for the most part I feel the reps were pretty strict.
