10 rounds for time:

30 seconds – Babrbell Power Clean

30 seconds rest

30 – seconds – Barbell Push Jerk

30 seconds rest

Coach’s notes:  For this WOD everyone choose your own weight but use the same weight for clean and jerk.  Post the weight chosen and the total reps for each exercise to comments.

Important Reminder – the holiday class schedule will be in effect for the upcoming holiday on Monday, August 3.  The 9:30 am and 6:00 pm class will be available for drop-in and member attendance.

did it at 135#

didn’t really keep track of reps, Min for Cleans was 5, and 4 for Jerks with 1 round that was 3


Did it at 135lbs

Started off strong and kept fairly consistent, where i went wrong was when i was dropping the push jerks after 5 and couldn’t get it back up for more reps, would have been smarter to do 4 rack it then pump 2 more out before the end of the round

85lbs… 8/6, 5/4, 6/5, 6/3, 6/4, 6/5, 6/3, 7/4, 6/4, 6/4. cleans felt good after got into rhythm tech-wise. lowering jerks sucked, sometimes i dropped on the lower and had to clean it up or give up the round… hence the rounds of only 3 jerks.

Total reps 149

Cleans felt pretty light, but the push jerks got hard fast.


Used 95#
Cleans – 7/6/5/5/5/4/4/5/7/8 = 56
Push Jerk – 14/12/10/10/9/9/6/7/10/9 = 96
Total reps 152


Used 44.5 lbs
Could have gone with a heavier weight but have a muscle strain in my wrist and didn’t want to make it worse. Worked on getting max reps every round.
TOTAL reps for both cleans and push jerks – 199
Challenging work out! Loved it!


I just realized I wasn’t supposed to do hang Power Cleans! LOL
