“Dating Sage”

 

5 rounds for time:
10 Snatch

15 Pull-ups

20 Thrusters

 

Coach’s notes: This one is for the board.  Guys use 95lbs for snatch and 75lbs for thrusters, gals use 65lbs for snatch and 55lbs for thrusters.

As rx’d 50:24 min
Finished 3rd round in 25 min and hit a wall.
Pull ups were a walk in the park. I can’t believe I am saying this.
I did this one after being three days in bed with a terrible stomach flu.
I hope I can do better next time. Still finished it after many mental battles during it.


Atta boy Alvero. Take out the 4th round from hell and you have a pretty good time.

Started out as a 1000m row warmup to see how 45# thrusters would feel after, and ended up just finishing the workout. About 20 seconds shy of a spot on the board. I’m pretty sure I can do it with a proper warmup and bit more heart.
Row was 3:43
Thrusters 25/25 about 15 seconds rest in between
Pullups 11/9/6/4 or so. This is where the heart kicks in.

Bench Press
115x8x3/115×7/115×6


After the lunges yesterday and front squats this absolutely fried my legs. Way slower then I wanted 27:11 as rx’d. Thanks for the encouragement Erin, Taylor and Lindsay.

Snatches were rough and Thrusters were easy…..
Well there is always the next time.

Round 1: scaled snatches to 33# & thrusters to 45#
Rounds 2-5: scaled snatches & thrusters to 33#
Decreased weight of the thrusters after round one, because I feared that I would never get done with the workout. My goal was to do all pull-ups unassisted, which I did. I am disappointed about having to scale the weights back that much, but am happy with the pull-ups. Tore in three places, so happy healing to me!

36:29 as rx’d.

Did this one on Sunday. First round was done in 4 minutes and it was all downhill from there. Snatches got heavy fast, and there were some failed reps, though mainly due to bad pulls.
