"Filthy Fifties"

1 Round for time:

50 Box Jump, 24 inch box
50 Jumping Pull-ups
50 KB Swings, 1 pood
50 Walking Lunges
50 Knees to Elbows
50 Push Press, 45 lbs
50 Back Extensions
50 Wallballs, 20/14 lbs ball
50 Burpees
50 Double Unders

This was tough . I set a goal for myself to finish all reps in under 30 mins.
Happy with my effort
Scaled knee to Elbows to knee ups and 100 singles instead of DU.

Worst part was the burpees and the first set of wallballs after the back extentions.

First time posting. Love reading the comments so thought it was time I added my own!
30 min with lots of scaling…
40 box jumps (hard to abbrev this one) at 20″ – these are a struggle first thing in the morning, mentally and physically!
30 jumping pu – breaks were getting a little long, had to move on
40 KBs at 0.7 pd
40 walking lunges – felt like I could do 50 until I got to 30
30 kTe – more of a “premium” knee raise
40 push press – light bar (22#?), distracted myself with thoughts of heavier until I got myself in the face
40 back extensions
40 wallballs at 10# – really need to work on these, could not get a rhythm, took forever, do better at these when aiming for the red target on the rig
50 burpees
50+ DUs until 30min mark, managed to get 20 in a row

Things were going pretty well until I got to the wallballs. I slowed down a lot there and things only got worse on the burpees.

Rx’d except K2E. Just can’t get these consistently.
As usual it went well til the wallballs. These took me 5 minutes in sets of 2s and 3s. Redeemed with UB double unders.
Then a dash for the side door, gasping and trying not to barf in the alley. Meagan thought I was a junkie shooting up. πŸ˜‚
Good job to a big 5pm class. I guess we like to suffer together.

Was going well until wallballs I broke those up in 5s took a while; burpees were absolutely atrocious, spent 6 and a half minutes doing these, nothing left. Du’s I actually got through somewhere between 60-90 secs which I know is nothing to write home about but I was happy to string a few together and not trip over and over again which is my norm

I don’t know how else to say this…….CrossFit programming, in it’s purest, unaltered state, is the most potent and effective means of increasing your fitness, and thus your health…………increasing your work capacity across broad time and modal domains, health being your volume under this curve.
Kept a consistent pace, finished in 18:16, approximately 30s faster than the last time we did this, a little over 3 years ago.

tried to keep the pace consistent so as not to go redline- got to the end of the W/B and was pretty certain that the Burpees would finish me, and I wouldn’t have the stamina to do the skipping, so I skipped first, 150 singles, then circled back and did the Burpees.
I was embarrassed that I did so poorly, then discovered I beat my time from 2015 by 8 minutes.
wouldn’t have believed it – 32 minutes ish versus over 40 minutes last time

Scaled it as I’m a little sore after competing this weekend, and also I’m scared of box jumps πŸ’πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

20” BJ -nice to start with rather than end with!
Low box, low bar – that hurt
0.7pood KBS – what is grip strength? She dead today.
Walking lunges – unbroken. Noice.
Hanging knee raises – did 50 in Canmore unbroken… not today, said my grip.
35# PP – sets of 5 ish after an opener of 10.
Back extensions – struggle bus.
14# WB to 10’ -sets of 5 felt ooookay
Burpees- thought I might pass out. Didn’t. *fist pump*
DUs- a bunch of random sets of various numbers depending how often I tripped.

Then I finished and basically fell over πŸ’πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Good work 6pm! Killed it!

VERY sore after the Canmore Crossfit Challenge on Saturday. Next time I’m going to try to break it into sets of 25-ish, instead of going unbroken.
