Used the Derek M. gauge today as I was not organized enough to gather chips.
Derek M. + 1 round + 4 burpees.
Note, I had 2 days rest, this was Derek’s 11 WOD. 😳😃

Rx: 16 round, 10 burpees, 10 DL and 100 meters – ish. I was completing my 17 round but when I ran around the corner from outside the clock read 30:10.

There was one point when I looked up at the clock and I said to myself then Brett, “How is there 23 mins left?!?!”

Burpees were a lot of stepping, all the DL were unbroken, the tuning I tried to keep it at 4:30 min/km but that slowed to 5:00 min/km then it slow to 5:30 min/km towards the last few rounds. Burpees were the hardest part. DL just bang then out trying to maintain good technique. Running, I could usually pick people off as I went (not on the last round, lol). More then anything I reminded myself to keep breathing, especially during the burpees.

Brett, I think you were round 18 plus 4 burpees. You are so fit dude.


This is the crossfit version of a root canal for me. 30min of running and burpees is not my favorite type of WOD, but after the Open I committed that I was going to work on these.
I counted 100m short of 12 rounds, but others in the class said that they were sure I was into my 13th round based on where they were at. Either way it was about 5 rounds more that I was expecting.
DL’s unbroken until the last 2 rounds.
Burpees all lateral with 2 foot takeoff.

11 rounds even. Was aiming for 12 but I don’t think I could have moved much faster.
I also knew I was going to be in trouble later when I was out the door before Stephen on the first run.
I like this kind of WOD because I can just shut my brain off and go.

Well… if this is a root canal for Derek P. then it must be a colonoscopy for me.

Did bar facing burpees. Open standard.


15 rounds +10+4 rx. My legs felt shot and I couldn’t run well after the 3rd round of deadlifts. Tried to push near the end but only had one gear today.

16/18 rounds Ragnar and Coach you guys are animals!!
