First time doing heavy Push Jerks, so I guess everything above 137 is a new PR.
I’m pumped that I got over body weight (153), first time I ever had this much weight overhead.

Oh, and by the way, Kimmer – your “GO DEATH RACER!!” brought back good memories of that race – I ran a couple of legs in 2006. What an event!! Best of luck to anyone going! And most of all DO NOT MISS THE KIDS DEATH RACE on the last day. Priceless!

Thanks amy & sdeering, but…the video of the lift shows that I reached full lockout when I stood tall, rather than in the dip/squat position. So…it was a combination push press/push jerk. Disappointed about that, but very happy to get 132# overhead locked out. I think that this is my favorite lift so I look forward to continue working on it.
I can here Dale saying it now Yaz….” GO DEATH RACERS, WE LOVE THIS SHIT!!”
186×2
191x 1
2 – 69#
2 – 74#
2 – 79#
2 – 84#
2 – 89#
2 – 93#
1 – 98# failed on second
stuck with 145 as practice. Did 6+ reps for each set.
Hard to convince my mind not to jump forward and straighten my hips. Good to know for next time.
