Snatch – 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1
Post loads for all sets to comments.
Failed at 120lbs. Ran out of time. I would have had it next lift. HAD A GREAT LIFT at 115. Started very light and worked up as I felt more confident about my form, making adjustments along the way.
I wasn’t terribly concerned about going heavy. I’m only 10 lbs off my pre-covid weight (130 lbs). My goal is a fantastic 135lb lift. Almost there. My technique has improved from the dowel work and improved deadlift form. I need to keep focusing on shrugging. It was my first pure snatch WOD since returning. I’m very pleased with my progress today.
Did some snatches.
5# off my 1RM. Focussed on getting really low in my squat and hanging out there before standing.
Thanks again for the shoelace rescue Kyle!
1@ 95/115/125(old PR)/135/145(f)/145!
Up to 195, need to work at these a bit more.
1s: 125/135/145(f)/145/155(fail x6)
Stubborn as hell tonight. I think I found every possible way to drop my 1RM weight. Four out six attempts landed right in the pocket, but could I stand even one up? Nope. For as good as all the previous lifts felt, this should have been a PR night. Frustrating and amusing all at the same time.
Stayed light and worked on straight arm pull and getting under the bar. Earned a “that’s WAY better” (from my husband, no less!). Thanks, Derek. And Duncan!
