A2.  Burpees over Bar – AMRAP in 45s X 5 sets, rest approx. 120s

Impressive efforts this morning, 9:30! Thanks for the coaching, Brett and for the encouragement, all!

Yikes. That was a mind game for me. Love those. See if you can win the fight against your own pain. Don’t always win, but it’s so important to try. Anyway. Only did 4 rounds, needed so much rest between sets. I didn’t work up my lunge weights very well, failed at 6 on the last set. Burpees were just a package of pain. Nice work 9am. Agreed Sarah, some awesome encouragement going around. Changes everything. Thanks Brett!

A1: 155/165/175 (9 reps, failed HARD on the 10th rep)/155

A2: 25/28/32/27 (with a trip and roll)

This was so uncomfortable 😣. I never want to do burpees again. When Brett said hurt yourself, I guess I listened.

Goal: Light day. Recover from Saturday. Work up to 95# lunges. Stay consistent with burpees. 20 reps or more every set.

A1: 75/75/85/90/95
95lbs was a great way to end. Lighter than I can do but very challenging on the last set. Definitely feeling stronger after coming back.

A2: 20/20/20/15/15
I did way better than I thought I would. I’m feeling way more “athletic” than I’ve been in years. I find my desire to do AMRAP has really improved. I want to do more than survive the workout. I’m more excited about pushing myself harder into darker “areas” of higher intensity WODs.

Enjoyed the challenge.

Shannon gave us 2:30-3:00 of rest. Probably the only reason I kinda survived this one.

I thought I would have more cushion for the pushing in the first part but after seeing the other posts and warming up I changed the game plan.

Burpees – I’m super impressed at the first 4 rounds for me… the last one was 💀 after barely surviving the lunges.

As usual, the right side struggled.

A2: 15 for all and a bruised hand from slamming into the floor.

Well, I pretty much knew coming into this one that I did not have the gusto for 5 rounds today, so scaled to 4.
1. 135# and 30 burpees. Actually had more time in this set, so could have got a few more reps, but after reflection, was not sure I contacted the ground feet first each rep?????
2. 165/22?, got tripped up on my bar as it moved towards the wall and I didn’t have enough room, bla, bla, bla……..excuses, excuses…….
3. 185/27, these were both clean sets.
4. 215 (out of a rack)/22 again????? I was kinda messed up because I had been taking larger rests, but then went with the group on this last set of burpees with only about 60s rest after the 215 lunges.

A1. 105/115/125/135/145
Right side struggled hard and the hamstring made it abundantly clear it wasn’t done healing yet….
A2. 26/24/22/21/20
Ay Carumba that hurt!! I was surprised that my arms/shoulders were the limiting factor and not my legs or my cardio. Glad I was able to stay kinda consistent.

and there was a lot of great effort through out the 630 class, well done!

Apprarently I am a complete dumb, dumb…………..last set was at 205#, NOT 215#, apparently faculties were diminished.

This WOD was definitely a mind game for me.. 😬💪🏻 Happy to get through it ok, although didn’t unfold the way I imagined..

– 55# all sets for lunges (I wasn’t liking these, and will hopefully have more strength next time to go heavier)
Burpees: 14, 13.5, 13.5, 13.5, 13.5 (Felt like I did 20.. 🤷‍♂️)
