This was my old 1RM so I am pretty happy with today. First good deadlift day in a long time. I put a mix of kilo and pound plates on so I didn’t really know how much was on the bar until after I finished lifting.

Sets at 405#. Tweeked my back a little so decided to shut it down. Done in open gym.


Shared the bar with Blaine today.
I felt pretty strong going in to today.

Warm up sets: 155/265/375/425

Working sets: 440×3 across for all six sets. Last couple sets didn’t feel pretty.

Third set was done as a single and a double because I didn’t grab the bar evenly.

Picked the weights based on April 22. Wish I had used June 11 when I did 5 at 275.

I decided to work at 85% of my 1RM. I used a weight belt tonight and that helped me feel more confident with my back. All lifts felt great. There was room to go higher but I didn’t want to do that tonight.

185/195/205/215/220/225 (for 1, felt like I was really rounding my back, didn’t attempt last 2). Previous 3rm was 205, 1rm was 235. I am happy with tonight’s numbers. Thanks Jay
