“Paige”
Back squat on the minute
Coach’s notes: For this WOD set a 60 second timer. Perform 1 back squat in the first minute, 2 back squats in the second minute, 3 in the third minute, and so on until you are unable to complete the required reps within 60 seconds. Weight for guys is 65 lbs and 45 lbs for gals. Post number of minutes and partial round to comments.
I was one of the many who watched Paige set an incredible record (Sun.) — correct me if I am wrong but I believe it came out to 406 squats in 26 minutes. This is a tough WOD, but accurately named in honor of one of the hardest workers I know. Her work ethic is only surpassed by her incredible attitude and support of all other cross-fitters. I look forward to continuing to work with you, and good luck as you continue to set high standards for many of us to try to reach.
BTW – 21 rounds + 15 = 246….. a few more than Alvaro!!
The WOD for the Crossfit Calgary classes this Sunday was the above workout and Paige had a remarkable effort. A full 28 rounds, last rep coming just over the 60s time limit for a total of 406 reps. Great work Paige! The bar has been set, high I might add, have fun with this one!
PAIGE ROCKS!!!
Was fortunate enough to witness this incredible feat as well and I can attest that the 406th squat was just a beautiful (and deep) as the 1st one!!
VERY NICE work Paige and Good luck in Hawaii!!!
Thanks you guys 🙂
One of the best things I have taken away from CrossFitting with each and every one of you is the amazing support and encouragement that we give to one another – it’s something I tell so many people about when I’m talking up CF.
I was happy with my squats and I know I pushed through thanks to the encouragement I could hear behind me 🙂
You are all inspiring and thank you for the wonderful comments!!
Way to go no_excuses!! 🙂 Nice work on your squats – see you tomorrow!!
P
Paige is all inspiration!!! Hard worker!!
I tried to get there with the squats but it was imposible.
I always enjoy competing with Paige. The problem is she always beats me! 🙂
Competition gives incentives for self improvement.
Happy holidays to everyone and keep up the good work during December!
