BW 135 (too much beer at lake!!!) long wod – 40+minutes!

If I actually managed to finish the workout, I would post my results! Only did 2 rounds out of the 5 as I couldn’t feel my arms. Deadlift was a disaster!
1st rd: 185 lbs/36 pull ups
2nd rd: 165 lbs/33 pull ups (attempted 195 but couldn’t even lift it off the ground!)

Two years ago 100 lbs was 70% BW and took 18 sets
Now it is 63% BW and took 8 sets
Some of that new BW must be muscle!


Spent 34 minutes on this WOD.


65lbs 8 sets
my 1rm for BP is 110 and my BW is 30 more than that.
The last half of the wod was difficult. My reps got very slow.


Started with 60%BW (75lb) for 8 sets. Then scaled further to 52%BW (65lb) or the final 7 sets. 15 sets total!


Decided to play around and do some testing today.
2000m row 7:49.8 (2010 goal was a sub 7:50) so happy with this. Rested about an hour then did Randy (75 Power Snatch @ 55lbs) 4:59 (PR). Last time was 6 minutes, thanks Brett.

Since my shoulder doesn’t like bench press, I decided to substitute 100 3/4 BW hang power cleans instead.

18 sets at 155# = 10/10/9/8/6/5/5/5/5/5/5/5/4/4/3/4/4/3!

This became primarily a grip workout, and my hands are pretty beaten up. My legs are also quite bruised from catching the bar after each rep…

I had to do this one at the gym 😛
Started off at 145lbs (bw is 147) but after the first three set realised that there was no one there to spot me so I dropped the weight to 135lb. Results as follows:

145lbs 10/8/8
135lbs 8/8/10/10/10/10/10/8
Total of 11 sets.


125 lbs (70% BW)
20/20/15/15/13/11/6
Total of 7 sets.

Started off great and then after a really hard fight for a final rep (most likely in the set of 13), I crashed hard. After the last 6 I was pretty much done; therefore the 4,1,1.
