Coach’s notes:  One of the more technical lifts, so take your time and increase weight gradually, hence the 10 sets.  Rest 2-5 minutes between sets and post load for each to comments.

Alvaro: got to 130 pounds, I love the feeling of dropping the dam bar. I had a couple failed attempts according to Brett, no going deep enough in my squat

Alvaro, must have been the hair cut….we call it the “Samson effect”….


4-117 (no problem but no form)
5-87 (dropped back to work on form)

As Rx’d: 45/65/85/85/95/105/110/115/115/115 (bw=157)
85 lb and above were PRs. These were really power snatches as I don’t have the confidence to go down in a deep squat with significant weight overhead.
+ 30 reps OHS @ 65lb
+ 50 GHD sit ups

Didn’t record all my sets but I worked up to 172lbs, wanted to attempt higher but ran out of time in class. Next time.

Concentated (maybe a strong word for a Fri.) on form, esp hook grip.
Thanks alot for the help Geoff — even with my lunate problem?!
(o/h squats done Thurs night – 65# x 3, felt strong yet)
