Todd at Barbell cert in Edmonton

Overhead Squat Ladder 1-15 for time:

Coach’s notes:  Guys use 95 and gals 65lbs for the load or scale as required.  Remember for the ladder you have to do each set without dropping the weight.  In other words round one is one rep without dropping.  You can rack between rounds on the back or in a rack.  For round 2 you must do 2 reps without racking and so on.  So for round 10 you must do 10 reps without racking the bar, round 15, is 15 reps without racking or losing the weight.  Obviously you must choose a weight you can do at least 15 reps in a row.  Post weight used and total time to complete the ladder to comments.

Due to city inspection and equipment shipment delays we will need to delay our CFC HQ opening by one week.  Classes will be operating out of OPT as usual from March 1, – March 7, 2009.  Official opening of the new facility will be on Sunday, March 8.  Membership fees will be prorated to reflect this delay.  For more information or inquiries please contact admin@crossfitcalgary.ca

CFC HQ will be hosting a gymnastics certification on July 25 and 26.  Click here for more details and to register.

27:3 something.
Used 65lbs got to 14 and lost it at 11, tried again and got it. Then for round 15 lost it at 11 and ran out of time. Thanks Brett for getting me to use the prescribed weight! Felt challenging but GREAT!

12:52 as rx’d, didn’t fail on any sets…..faster next time then! pretty tough though.

Scaled to 75# and still DNF. Failed 3 times at 14 and ran out of time. The big problem was wrist pain. I need to improve my balance with a narrower grip. After failing the first time with my typical grip (hands at the collars), I tried to narrow it a bit and lost balance after 3 reps.

as rx’d 16:19

sorry guys i have not posted for a week I have been brutally sick and still am…but I thought I could handle today’s WOD…

10:18 as rx’d….tough for me b/c I could be barely breathe and could feel fluid in my lungs…

I would also like to thank Brett for allowing me to be the first person to do an official WOD at the new location!!…the new place is wicked and it will be great when we have 20+ people doing Fran!!! (which I missed due to sickness last week)

Brittany – 8:XX as rx’d

12:52 at home. Pull ups took longer than expected because I can touch the floor doing them on the cage.
