8 rounds for time and load: 

8 Deadlift

8 Hang Power Clean (HPC)

8 Push Jerk 

8 burpee penalty for any broken set

 

Coach’s notes:  Choose your own weight, but choose carefully.  If you break up any set (in other words if you do not complete all 8 deadlifts or all 8 HPC or all 8 push jerk without stopping) you must do 8 burpees.  Post time to complete and weight choosen.

CrossFit Calgary is happy to offer TARGETED CLASS – POSE Running starting this Sunday, July 5 at 4 pm for 1 hour. 
There are 12 classes in the session and registration is required for both members and non-members.  Member registration is $100 and $250 for non-members.  Class size is limited.

Looked fun so I had to give it a go despite my lack of “umph” today.
19:48 with 75#


26:45 with 65#


18:48 with 47 lbs


135#, 19:57. Did one round of burpees in round three when I dropped the 8th clean. Cleans were by far my limiting factor, need to get a lot quicker with the elbows. Another thing to add into my warmups to work on. I am going to leave a bunch of Canon stampede party invitations at the facility, anyone is welcome to RSVP and come out thursday next week!!


21:05 at 75lbs, the HPC was limiting for me as well from a grip perspective. Thanks Coach great wod.


29:57 w/ 85 lbs. Good workout, and lots of room for improvement. Like others, the HPC was the challenge.


18:12 at 85lbs. Could have gone heavier but my HPC was lacking.


Played soccer yesterday and golf today and I do not feellie addidng a WOD to it 🙂

The power cleans were done from the floor instead of “hang” because catching the bar on it’s way down to “hang it” is irritating a recovering injury.

After failing on the 8th rep of push jerk on the 8th set at around 26:30, I gave myself plenty of time to ensure that I didn’t fail it again.
