155/165/175/185/195/200/205 (10#PR)
Wasn’t expecting that this morning.
Jerks felt good. Lowering for the second rep was getting uncomfortable.
Thanks T!

55, 65, 75, 85, 90, 95, 100 (5 lb PR)

Nice PR’s Derek and Patti.

I really struggled lowering it on the last 2. Tweaked my neck at the end there trying to lower it as if it were a strict press. I recommend emphasizing and practicing the “lower.”

I’m very inexperienced at Split Jerks so I was looking for a great starting point for going heavy next time. My shoulders are feeling more prepared for heavier challenges.

I tend to favour being forward and my splits are too long. Over extending. Adding more weight and some welcome coaching helped. I ended on 165lbs with much better form.

Thanks Tania.

95/125/145/165/165/175/185 (only 1)
New PR @ 185!
Original PR was 165

Thanks Josh!

Worked up to 145# so clearly made the most of my “rest day”. Thanks Josh!

Still not able to go overhead so front squat doubles was the order of the night:
Second rep at 270 was possibly the ugliest front squat I’ve ever done and the shoulder was very unhappy about that…

Thanks Josh!

Was hoping for a PR tonight but couldn’t even quite get my current 2RM which I hit at the Affiliate. Something to be said for a competition setting.

Thanks Josh

Was trying to go for the 100#, but still hit a new PR at 95. Having issues mentally (ok physically too) with lowering the bar down to get set for the second rep

thanks Josh for the good warmup and coaching.
my hats off to all those that did yesterday’s major physical push – serious numbers posted, well done.
i had a reasonable lifting experience tonight – not heavy, but managed to remind my physical awareness of doing jerks again. So thanks 6 pm, good group to work with!!

Worked on technique in between chats (PR). Coach Derek offered to get stools, I suggested coffee.

2nd reps were always better than the first.

Reached 100lbs
