10 Shoulder to Overhead (from floor) - 165#/115#
Coach’s notes: Post time to complete to comments.
Happy Birthday Mom!!
Happy birthday Joanne (mom :)!!!!
Happy Birthday Joanne:)
8:15 as rx’d. Did everything UB until the last set of G2O did 8/2. Should have sucked it up and tried for UB. Kept the squats at a consistent pace. Thanks Todd for a fun class. Nice push at the end Abby.
At Crossfit Zone in Victoria this morning at the 9:30 class
Deadlifts for loads 2-2-2-2-2-2-2
I worked up to 125 Rick to 235
Adelle with 45# and blue bands for ring dips 8:29
Rick with 95# ring dips as rx’d 8:27
Nice group here in victoria.
Filmed this one and it was a bit of an eye opener. I was defeated before Todd even said 3..2..1…Go.
Rounded back on the squats, half-assing the tempo, walking away from the bar; these are all things I harp on Mike for!
Disconcerting seeing myself display body language like that!
Maybe I was distracted, maybe I just needed a little Carly Rae Jepsen in the warm up?
Push Jerks caught up to me a bit, did not properly prepare here and 2 failed reps in the last set were costly. Like this WOD though.
Happy Birthday Joanne!!! Growing younger (physically) everyday.
14:30 from the ladies tees ( 115# )
sets 1, 3 and 4 of the S2O were unbroken. Set 2 should’ve been as well, but I dropped the bar at 6 for some reason.
Wow, good challenging WOD.
14:03. First rd UB, then had to break it up after that and re do 3 failed reps.
Great coaching Michelle, and great job by everyone in the 5PM class.
16:13 scaled at 115lbs for 2 rnds and 105 lbs for 2 rnds
Still trying to get my hips activated…work in progress
@ Talisman Centre
Practiced Bar muscle-ups with Blaine - thanks for the tips.
Still didn’t get one but closer than ever.
2 rounds rx’d
2 rounds 155#
Went in after the Teens class:
Bench: heavy doubles, 275×2 (felt like I could do 3) popped 285×1 on there
Babmoo Bar: 3pood 5×10reps
Dynamic push-ups to a box: made it to 24″ w/ feet on the small box.
Legs were saying no but the mind said YES!
As rx’d after some encouragement from The Hulk. This was a brutal challenge but interesting to see I could push it for so many reps.
Push Jerks 1) 5/3/2, 2) 4/4/2, 3) 3/3/2/2, 4) 3/3/2/1/1
Scaled to 75#, rounds 1-3 unbroken and round 4 sets of 6,4
Thanks Michelle, that was a schweatty one!
Got half way through the lat set of squats and had to stop due to ankle.
Used 70lb and could only push press due to ankle as well.
I liked this WOD, way harder than I thought it would be.
#55 push jerks
This mentally kicked my butt. Had a hard time pushing through.
Scaled to 75#
This was a great WOD
Thank you so much Michelle….I really needed to “clean” up my act!
20:30 (I think)
Started with 62# and dropped to 55# on the 3rd round
Just glad I finished! anything overhead is difficult for me….
Thanks for your help Michelle, feel like I made some progress tonight…
And, wow, thanks for all the birthday wishes! Awesome crowd at 6:30!
Oh, and Michelle, thanks for not enforcing the B-day burpees
28:30 as RX’D
I dont even know what to say about this one, there were several points in round 4 where i didnt think i could get the weight above me head. If it wasnt for the amazing support of Michelle and the rest of the 7pm crew that stayed to cheer me on I dont know if I could have done this one. Thanks again Michelle!
23:41 @ 75#
I don’t really know why that took so long…had a hard time convincing myself to pick up the bar…
Thanks for the coaching and tips Michelle…will work on that!
As rx’d 27 min!
If it wasn’t for Michelle, it would have been waaaayyy slower. And at some point i had a full crowd cheering. Thank you everyone!!!
Poor Tania gave me another coconut water, two days in a row!!! I sooo nedded it! Thanks Tania!
Cory and Brent went rx’d after i did some convincing and they both beat me! Great job guys. They only took a min or so from me. I am happy with my results today. Freaking heavy coach!
15:55 @ 62lb
3. 3/3/2/2 (started doing split jerks on this round)
Thanks for the motivation Alvaro. Time was ugly but wouldn’t have tried as prescribed without you forcing me to.
23:14 at 74lbs.
started off with 93# but could feel my back going at rep 14 so moved to 83# and did the remaining 26 split jerks at that weight. Definitely a lot harder than I anticipated.
Thanks so much Michelle for the push! Great job to all the 6:00 members! This was a dirty one!
Heavy. Drenched in sweat.
It felt really heavy and awkward the whole time.
Somewhere between 15-16min? Started with 78lbs then removed 5lbs after the 4th round. Started a bonus round of squats until Aly stopped me-thank God! I loose count between the 3rd and 4th round…was a VERY sweaty WOD at noon. Thanks so much Aly good times…
Happy Birthday Joanne!
First of All, thanks Michelle for another great educational and coaching experience.
I really enjoyed this, 14:30 with 125# on the bar, which I am happy with, since I am still learning the movements and nursing a what is now a semi injured right paw.
Squats, I cannot wait until the flexibility improves from repetition, I have already noticed some improvement here. I took these slower to ensure that I could make “my full range of motion” in order to improve this movement.
Push press and Jerks need a lot of practice, I used a lot of shoulder press in this workout. This will come with time. I will add weight next time. In any reagard, a strong shoulder work out is ok with me too.
17:20 @ 100lbs
17:23 as rx’d
I agree with Blaine. Got heavy fast and very sweaty!
14:03 @ 115 lbs
