Anyone up for a screaming good time? Our Rec Coordinator (aka Coach Chelsea) has organized a Halloween themed rec event for Friday October 26 at 7:30 pm. The annual ScreamFest http://www.screamfest.ca/ at Stampede Park is a haunted house extravaganza with haunted houses, games and more! This event is now licensed, so plan for a ride home. Tickets are $20 online or $25 at the door.

Fun times at dodgeball last night. Fielded a full team with 6 of us showing up. Ended up playing to a tie, though I totally think we should’ve had the win. I’m going to call it a moral victory. Great work everybody!

Dear Wall Balls: Who invented you? Oh, hold on – don’t answer that. No one cares!! Its rhetorical anyways. Firstly, “medicine” ball… what medicine? You’re like a bad rash. By the 2nd RD you turned into a 1000lbs. steel wrecking ball rocketing at my face & that target grew to the highest summit of the Swiss Alps. And secondly, on the suck-ability scale. You’ve hit DEFCON 1.

Seriously?! I hate you more than Twilight.

It’s a boy! Brent and I are proud to announce the arrival of Jameson Ransford Booth. 5 lbs 2oz and 17.5 inches long. We are both doing great and Jameson can’t wait to hit his first WOD!

This WOD was devastating! During the warm up, going through each exercise, you don’t really think what the big deal is going to be. 10 wall balls? no problem, so easy. Use prescribed weight? Why not, warm up was nothing.

Then you start the WOD, and you realize, 30 reps at each exercise, and no break, and Todd “encouraging” you to suck it up and keep going? Yup, I was humbled. Got home, scared to move because I feel the cramps starting in my quads.

The WOD was so good, but oh so bad.

Thanks for the “encouragement” Todd, I don’t want to know what my time would have been if I had set my own pace.

Innerstrength, new building is the Image Auto Body next door, details are still to be sorted, including timeline, but we have struck a deal. We will update you all as we know more.


Great Workout and deceivingly difficult too

For me the rate limiting steps were the switch lunges and the pullups. My upperbody strength to weight ratio is coming but not there yet and the SL are just so taxing.
