Fun WOD today. I think deadlift days are my favourite.

2×255
2×275
2×345
2×365
2×405 (new PR by 5#…twice…yay!)
2x stopped at 5 rounds

Thanks OG. Great coaching as always and thanks for teaching Max to bark. He barked the whole drive to daycare πŸ™‚

Thanks Eloise (sorry if I butchered the spelling of your name) for the observations and thanks Young Trent for letting me share your bar.

2×275
2×295
2×315
2×335
2×345 PR
1×350 2nd Failed
Thanks Duncan and Scott for helping me with Math – As I really was unware about how heavy I was lifting – Helped me reach My PB
Thanks Colin –

95/105/110/115/120
Then Whitney and I went head to head on our monthly Annie WOD. Today was a PB for both of us. 5:50 for me and 5:59 for Whitney. Very happy with this today!
πŸ™‚

Worked up to 415x 2
425x 1 first one went up pretty slow so I didn’t attempt the second
Thanks OG!!

145/155/165/170/175/177.5
That is a 8.5 PR for DLx2.
A couple of things that really clicked for me today:
1: Being organized before I even start me lift
2: Even when the bar feels like it’s not moving keep going. Today, especially the last two sets, the bar felt heavy and hard to get off the ground I just kept pulling and it went up easy….even more so on my second rep.

I received two compliments from two coaches that I admire, good day for me!
Thank you Michelle and Jason.

Worked up to 245#x2. Was frustrated at first as I have lifted much more then this for 2, but this is still more then i have lifted in a long time. There was also no rounding in my back and a few things clicked today as well. May not celebrate but consider it a sign of good things to come. Thanks Jay and Michelle, some great cues today.

Love the deadlifts and Scott you get an A+ for spelling my name right πŸ˜›
165#
175#
185#
195#
205#
210#

Higher reps, lower weight to work on technique, so did 5-7 reps and worked to 120
Focus on weight on heels, tight core, flat back and pushing hips through, which incidentally I thought I was doing until Jason told me otherwise (thanks Jay). The look on my face must have been priceless when I realized what he was talking about πŸ˜‰

Felt good today thanks Jason and Michelle, good to know that I’m also doing some things right.

Carol way to go on lifting 200! And Nancy first time doing this lift at 230!!!!!!!!!! Wow!

In open gym
138/148/153/158/163/173
13# over May 14 and 8# over my last 1RM! Last one was ugly and I don’t think I would have attempted it if Michelle and Audra hadn’t been watching. thanks for the encouragement you two! And thanks for watching my last two sets Michelle!

Worked up to 195.
Still need to work on pushing into floor & sitting back rather than pulling (I really like this way of teaching the deadlift, made me change my way of tackling this lift). Felt good today, still had more in me, but without all the technique right didn’t want to go any heavier. Thanks for the fierce coaching Michelle. Jason, your words of lifting wisdom are always appreciated.

135/145/155/165/175f/170/175off the floor up to my knees. Why I stopped is beyond me! Mental block!!!!!
thanks for pointers Jason
thanks for encouragement and strategy for next time Michelle(don’t put 175 on. Have someone else load the bar and don’t know weight)

160/170/180/190/195/200
Was super pumped to hit the 200 mark. Found the coaching tips today so helpful – Michelle saying to keep back on your heels, and Jason’s comment about not freaking out and dropping the bar when you realize how heavy it feels. Was seeing stars by the end but all in all a good lifting day.

A. power snatch tech up to 4 sets of 3 @ 95#…fast (I believe the word was ‘peppy’) 3rd pull
B . BTN snatch grip PP for 3’s (can’t remember weight)…timing and lockout…
Thanks Brett

Nice job of the deadlifts Sandy!!

Then 10 rounds of 30 sec sprints (60 secs rest)

315-315-335-335-355(x1)-355(x1) – from blocks
Thanks Jay and Aly!

235/245/255/265f/245

Last time was 275#.
Theory A: Last night’s WB’s wrecked me for deadlifts.
Theory B: I need to practice the new DL set up routine at moderate weights before going heavy.

315×2
365×2
375×2
385×2
395×2
405×2
Thanks Jason tips helped big time.

Yeah for deadlift night!
275/ 295/ 305/ 315/ 325/ 335/ 345 PR. Last time 315
Thanks to my pit crew Ben Mark and Colin for the push to do one more lift! Glad I did!
Thanks for the great coaching Jay!

375/425/425/465/465/500X1 PR.
Worked up to 465 X2. It felt so good that I decided to go for 500 and managed to hit it for 1 rep. Huge PR for me.
Then I did yesterdays workout. Results posted there.

Big thanks to Jason for the help tonight. Good job Kimmer!

315#, 325# for one, thx jay and ryan

245/275/295/315/335, failed 345, completely mental, thanks Jason for partnering, thanks Coach Jason for the lifting tips.

185/195/205/210/215/220 PR by 5lbs
My lifting felt really strong in spite of a sore back. I think it had to do with the great coaching tips given tonight. Thanks Jason!
Way to go Kim

Whoa! Big numbers today! Nice Kimmer and Ben!

Got 505 for 2 with a bit of a bounce on the second one

375×2/425×2/455×2/485×2/505×1/495×2
A 500 pound deadlift seems to be a mental roadblock for me. I always over think it and end up psyching myself out.
Great job, Kimmer. Very inspiring.
Thanks Jason, Aly, Ben, Kimmer and Colin.

Up to 175. First heavy deadlift since hurting my back in January. 175 felt good but didn’t want to push any further.
Thanks Jason.

Got up to 200 today.
Thanks Jay for the push at the end.

Atta boy Chad, big numbers Crew, great work everyone.

485×2, 505×2, 515×2, 525×2, 530×2, 535f (should have 535, a little off today)

Came back in the afternoon:
Fran

Thrusters @95lbs
Pull-ups

Worked up to 285×2 felt a little weak today ,the first one went up real slow and the second was way faster. Doesn’t make sense to me but I’m ok with it. Thanks Jason.

215 for 2
235 for 2
255 for 2
260-budged from the ground, rested
260 off the ground again- couldn’t get it.Damn.

Still getting the hang of it,started a bit big, went up too quick,
will have a few weeks or months of tweeking yet. Like to push it,
sometimes a bit much.
