Have to say my split jerk sucks! My jerk is a lot better,but when I reach the 78/80 mark I need to start splitting…….and it all goes to shit!
Need a tech day(s) on the split jerk!

Today I took Todds advice and went 10pbs heavier than I thought I could go.
Set of 15 @ 155 failed touch and go on tenth rep and had to reset for the rest.
Set of 9 @ 165 failed touch and go at rep 8 reset and finish
Set of 3 @ 195 failed touch and go in 3rd rep had to reset to finish.

A. 10 min EMOM thrusters. 45/55/65/75/85/95/95/95/95/95, 20#pr, should have gone up, no more little plates.
B. 10/9/8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1 kettle bell swings, 100m run. Used 1 pood. 11:42. Great class, Jeff Woo was coaching

C) 10min to work up to a heavy 3 Hang Squat Clean TnG went up to 155#
D) 30min jog this afternoon in the heat
Wow…this was a lot tougher than I thought it was going to be.
135 for 15
185 for 7 grip was just taxed and I couldn’t hold on
235 for 2 missed the clean on the third rep and just couldn’t get under it.
Not to make excuses…Overall, I feel like I can hit the 9 and the 3, I don’t think the weight is the problem but more so my grip is just weak.
Super frustrating…but this was a fun type of workout I’ve never done before.
This was tough! Started at 73# could only get to 9 then dropped to 63# could only do 8 finally got 15 at 53# then 9 at 73# then 93 for 3 and finally 103 for 3…need to work on the clean
And ten did a 120lbs/hand farmers carry for distance…Trent and Patzer were doing it and it looked fun.

8 unbroken clean & jerk @ 65lbs
10 over the barbell burpees
2 minutes rest
5 minutes skip rope (alternate leg)
All sets done unbroken.
15 – 95#
9 – 110#
3 – 130# – split jerk
2 – 135# (failed 3rd split jerk)
15 with 75lbs (10,2,1,1,1)
9 with 85lbs (failed the last jerk)
3 with 100lbs (these felt pretty good)
I found this one difficult tonight. The jerk wasn’t feeling strong.
15 touch and go @ 115#
15 touch and go @ 130# (lost grip and had to re-set at 11)
9 touch and go @ 145#
9 touch and go @ 160# (weak grip so reset at 6)
3 touch and go @ 185# (out of gas… got 2 and then after a pause finished with a single)
Pretty sure 3 x 185# is there – I was just OUT OF GAS!! Many reps tonight.

The reps at 105# were not unbroken and not pretty but I did manage to lower them all.
Thank you Jason for kicking my ass out of my comfort zone. I never would have attempted these weights on my own.

185 x 9 Maybe could’ve gone a little heavier on this set
245 x 3 Split jerked very last rep
Attempted 3@145. Got three cleans and two jerks, failed the third jerk.
Probably should have listened to Jason and done 135 for 3….
185 for 10 or 11 and grip failed mid pull. 215 for 5 and dropped it. 245 for one. So clearly did not do proper weights but each time I really thought I could do it.
