Testimonials from participants:

“I just wanted to drop you (and the powers that be at Crossfit) a note to say THANK YOU for the TT Strength/Barbell Class.    The program was awesome, the coaches (of course) amazing and the results… well pretty darn impressive!     This class was great and I would highly recommend it to everyone!  All of the people who participated were so fantastic, fun, helpful and inspiring!”

“I’m very pleased with the structure of the course and my progress over the past 12 weeks. What a great way to pass the winter by and focus on health and strength. I wouldn’t hesitate to take it again. The handout was beneficial and the log book was a nice touch. I use it all the time.
The coaches always seemed focused and willing to help. Corrections came even when I didn’t realize anyone was looking. It’s reassuring to know that poor technique doesn’t go missed.”

“The TT Barbell program is another example of what a fantastic community Crossfit Calgary is.  I feel very lucky to be part of this community.  The programming was great; coaching terrific and the never ending encouragement really helped, especially when the reps and load increased.  My only complaint is that a crazy work schedule interfered with some of my workouts and that I got sick a few times and had to back off.  I gained strength in some areas, was able to identify where I need work and really look forward to focusing on Olympic lifting with a stronger body and a lot more confidence to get under heavy weight.  Some of the workouts were hard to finish in the allotted time but that is life.  I learned a lot, especially about me and am hungry for more.”

TT Olympic Lifting

This 11 week program is an introductory program for CrossFitters and other novice and intermediate lifters.  The Olympic lifts- Clean, Jerk, Split Jerk and Snatch will be covered.
Expect improvements in CrossFit benchmark WODs like Grace, Isabel, and Randy!
You will need to complete weekly homework to realize the full beneft of the program (1 per week).
The sessions will be instructed by Chris Lemky.

Chris Lemky - BIO

With 8 years of practice in the strength, health and coaching industry, Chris has enough experience to know that it takes more than experience, it takes perspective. A firm believer in the ‘Practice does not make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect‘ method, he knows the road to speed and strength must be paved with precision. His Olympic Weightlifting training of a mere 3 years was preceded by a professional Mixed Martial Arts Career of 12 years. A Purple Belt under Roy Harris and an MMA record of 2-0 brought him to the world of Weightlifting looking for more power.

Accomplished as a Strength and Conditioning Coach, Chris has trained a full variety of athletes from the extremely elderly and obese to active Canadian and Australian Military personnel. Chris has worked with organizations such as the NSCA, NCCP and is certified as a CSCS. These institutional paper trails hold far less qualification, for Chris, than time under the bar. By attempting to converge the realms of theory and practice, Chris promotes a coaching methodology that emphasizes injury prevention, logical practice, emotional fortuity and bad jokes. If your goals are to be more awesome each day, you might like him. If not, you will surely hate him.
