CrossFit Games Affiliate Team update

Our goal is to have the best team for the Affiliate Cup at the 2010 CrossFit Games.

CrossFit Calgary will be sending a team (consisting of 6 athletes) to the Canadian Regional Qualifiers held May 29-30th at Natural High CrossFit in Okotoks.  The goal of this team will be to win the Candian Title and qualify CrossFit Calgary for the 2010 CrossFit Games on July 16-18th in Aromas, California!  This qualifying team will be selected on April 1st.  Team members of the team that competes at the Regionals are not guaranteed to be on the team that goes to the CrossFit Games.

Once qualified through the Regionals in May, the CrossFit Calgary team going to Aromas will be selected on June 1st.  Athletes’ performances both in the team and individual competitions at the Sectionals and Regionals will be considered in the team selection.

Team members must be able to attend 4-5 team training sessions/week.  All team members must hold a valid CrossFit Calgary membership from April 15-July 15, 2009 and actively train at CrossFit Calgary.

If you are interested in representing CrossFit Calgary and being a member of the qualifying team at the Canadian Regionals, email Kris by March 1st.  Depending on the number of interested athletes, try out’s may be held to select the best team based on performance, sportsmanship, teamwork and representation of the CrossFit Calgary community.
